We are delighted to announce that Bramble Bush Bay and the new prows (which were manufactured in Poland) are all due to arrive in Poole this week.
The fitting of the prows along with the relevant safety checks and load tests will be performed over the next few days. The next stage of preparations, as the ferry has been out of service for an extended period, we will be doing a range of system/operational checks prior to the resumption of service.
We then need specific sea/tidal conditions to be reconnected to the chains and once the ferry is back on the chains, we will commence sea trials. All of this before recommencing the service.
We are pleased to have the ferry back in Poole and are making sure that she will be ready when we recommence service. We cannot afford to rush the safety checks and sea trials as these are in everybody’s interests.
We are still on target to recommence service by the end of February 2023. We will post regular updates on social media of the progress of all this work.
