The Bournemouth-Swanage Motor Road and Ferry Company, has today announced the planned
Maintenance refit dates for November 2022. The ferry undergoes a refit every 2 years and alternates
between major and minor refits. November this year will see the ferry towed to Falmouth and undergo a
dry dock major refit. The ferry’s last day of service before the refit will be Sunday 30th October 2022 and
we will leave for Falmouth on Monday 31st October 2022 for a period of 4 weeks. We aim to be back early
December 2022 and the exact date will be announced closer to the time as this will be dependent on the
weather.
Jason du Toit, the ferry’s Managing Director, said “As with everything, the better we care for the ferry, the
fewer disruptions to service we will have. I understand that during this time there may be an
inconvenience and for that I apologise. However refits are a time for us to ensure the vessel is safe and
ready to carry passengers for the next few years.”
