In light of the current COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak, it’s more important than ever that we all acknowledge our part to play in keeping our communities safe and well.
At the Sandbanks Ferry Company, we’re committed to minimising the risk of infection for both staff and passengers. We’ve already implemented enhanced hygiene processes throughout our teams, including the wearing of gloves for those who handle cash, regular hand washing breaks, and the provision of sanitisers.
We’d like to ask you, our passengers, for your help to keep the ferry a safe and clean environment in which to travel. You can help minimise the risk of infection by adopting the following simple steps:
• Keep tickets and cash away from your mouth, as this presents a hygiene issue for our toll collectors
• Please remain seated in your vehicle throughout the short crossing
• If travelling on foot or on bike, please be mindful of social distancing between you and other passengers wherever possible
• If you are feeling unwell or have recently been in close contact with someone presenting with symptoms, we ask you to follow the Public Health England (PHE) guidelines and remain at home
Thank you from all of us at the Sandbanks Ferry Company for your co-operation and support during this time. By putting these measures in place, we hope to avoid any impact on our service due to staff shortages – as well as helping to protect everyone who travel with us.
